Portraits of Popes
The short comment and bio by author Krunomir Dvorski: Popes of the Catholic Church are probably the longest-running management in the world. It moved me to draw all of them (266) and experience them through their centuries-old art appearance. It was an enormous endeavour. Since 2013, when I started, I have been through various beautiful moments and doubts. The portraits were drawn in pencil of different hardness between H4 and B6, on acid and lignin free white cardstock paper, 176 g / m², size 216 x 279 mm. To create portraits, I used images from the Vatican official "The Holy See" pages and Wikipedia.
I grew up in a traditionally Catholic family of mother Ana and father Franjo with three older sisters, live and work in Canada since 1994 with my wife and two children, work professionally in electronics at the "University of Waterloo". As an independent scietist, I do research in cosmology where I developed "The Flipping Theory". In my free time I draw portraits, make woodcuts and clay sculptures. Behind me are more than a thousand artworks. I am an active member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Society of Artists, were recently, before the corona pandemic, I gave a presentation in front of more than fifty artists. I exhibit my works in the Gallery Krunomir.
